- Due to Marriage; this is issued to a person that is legally married to a Ugandan for at least 3 years and living legally in the country
Duration: 5 years, 10 Years, Life - Due to Long stay; this is issued to a person that has continuously lived in the country for 10 years and has contributed to the socio-economic development of Uganda
- Former Ugandan; this is issued to a person who previously had Ugandan citizenship and have acquired another citizenship
