this is issued to a person that has continuously lived in the country for 10 years and has contributed to the socio-economic development of Uganda

Requirements

1. Valid Police clearance
2. Medical report from a recognized health facility
3. Recommendations from 2 referees in Uganda
4. Recommendation from local council 1 from area of residence
5. Passport Copy (Bio data page) with at least 6 months validity
6. Recent Passport-size Photograph
7. Evidence of continuous legal stay for a minimum of 10 years (permits, passes, CR)
8. Letter of Compliance from Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)
9. Valid Income tax clearance
10. List of employees and their National Social Security Fund (NSSF) contributions
11. Pay As You Earn (PAYE) contributions by the applicant where he’s an employee
12. Pay As You Earn (PAYE) contribution for the employees
13. Socio-contribution to the development of Uganda e.g. charitable donations, community outreach, care for orphans etc.

Duration & Fees:

For 5 years pay USD 4,000
For 10 years pay USD 3,500
For Life pay USD 3,000 (including a $200 processing fee)

Steps for Application

• Step 1: Log into the Immigration Portal and select start new application
• Step 2: Accept the terms and conditions displayed in the Disclaimer.
• Step 3: Select the visa or permit type, category and sub category
• Step 4: Complete the application form
• Step 5: Upload the required documents; a six-digit application ID eg. (234790123) is automatically generated as the reference number
• Step 6: Make payment for applications that require prepayment.
• Step 7: Upon approval, for application that don’t require top up payment, an approval letter will be generated and emailed to the applicant on the home page
• Step 8: Upon approval, make a top up payment for applications that require a top up payment. After payment an approval letter is generated and emailed to the client
• Step 9: Report to the immigration office/ border for biometric capture with all documents uploaded, payment receipts, approval letter and passport
