Missions only handle renewal, replacements and new passports for the children of Ugandans in the diaspora.
When are the Machine-readable passports going to be phased out?
Ugandan machine-readable passports will no longer be valid for international travel after April 4, 2022, and will be replaced by international East African e-passports.
It is very costly to apply for the Dual citizenship online and then buy a ticket to travel to Uganda just for the certificate.

It is a new system that is gradually being rolled out to the other Immigration Stations and is currently only available at the Immigration Head Office in Kampala
Can minors get Ugandan passport as well as foreign passport and if i do not declare my child's other passport what happens?
A minor is ineligible for Dual Citizenship until they are 18 years of age. Failure to declare the other passport will lead to confiscation of the Ugandan Passport and/or prosecution
