HANDLING PASSPORT BACKLOG AT THE EMBASSY IN ABUDHABI

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has received several complaints of delays in scheduling appointments by passport applicants at the embassy in Abu Dhabi. This has mainly been because of the large number of Ugandans that the Embassy serves in the Middle East.

Starting today 23rd August 2023, the Ministry has deployed more officers temporarily at the embassy to address this challenge. All Passport applicants irrespective of the date of appointment at the embassy of Abu Dhabi can go there and get served. This will be for two weeks from today 23/08/2023 till 6/09/2023, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

All applicants should ensure to carry;

  1. Appointment form
  2. Old Passport
  3. National ID
  4. Recommendation Letter and Recommender National ID
  5. Documents supporting your profession (if applicable)
  6. Police letter (in case of lost cases)
